The Playstation 3 will be the most advanced computer system in the universe – taking gaming and home entertainment to the next level – will we ever venture outdoors again?!

Cell and RSX processors will make gameplay on the PS3 the most fantastic ever, and the fact that the PS3 will be backwards-compatible, meaning that a vast catalogue of Playstation and PS2 software titles will be playable on the Playstation 3, is a real boon too – no need to relegate our old favourites to the attic with our old consoles!

PS3 Users will be able to download a variety of contents, as well as access on-line games and services over the network, thanks to the PS3’s impressive Giga-Bit Ethernet and pre-installed Hard Disk Drive (HDD).

And now for the science part – the Blu Ray technology that has been much debated, will mean that the PS3 is capable of playing back content at a bit rate of multiplex 48Mpbs with ease, the maximum bit rate defined in BD standards.  This is only possible because of the overwhelming computational power of the PS3s Cell processor.

The Playstation 3 supports a broad range of displays from conventional PAL standard TVs to the latest full HD flat panel displays, and will have the basic input /output ports, so nobody need miss out on being able to access the most advanced computer entertainment contents.

And while the PS3 is a goodlooking beast, it’s also a quiet one, too, being just about as quiet as it’s little brother, the current slimline PS2.
